eSIM auto activation is a way of making sure you have a steady data connection without having to manually activate a new data package each time.

How does auto-activation work?

If you purchase multiple eSIM packages within a country or region, you'll activate the first package and start using the data. When the package expires (either due to time or data allowance), the next package will auto-activate for you.

How long does auto-activation take?

Once a data package expires, your next data package will auto-activate within 30 minutes.

If you'd like your package activated right away, you can deactivate and reactivate your plan and the new one should begin working immediately.

What if I have only purchased one data package?

If you have only purchased one eSIM data package, you will not experience auto-activation once your original data package runs out. If you would like additional data, you'll need to purchase a new data package.

The aloSIM app will never automatically make a purchase on your behalf, or top up your plan without your permission.
