How do I install eSIM on my Rakuten Android device?
Ready to install your aloSIM eSIM on your compatible Rakuten device? Great!
- Use your aloSIM app (or log in on alosim.com) to navigate to "My eSIMs"
- Select the aloSIM eSIM you wish to install
- Choose from QR code installation or manual installation
- If you select QR code installation, scan the QR code with your device camera and follow the on-screen prompts
- If you select manual installation, paste the provided SM-DP address and Activation Code into the appropriate fields within your phone settings
- Make sure your APN is set to "alosim" (and add "alosim" if it's not appearing there as an option)
- Data Roaming should be ON for aloSIM (so we can connect you to the best network), but Data Roaming should be OFF for your Primary SIM (if applicable) so you don't incur roaming fees
Remember that eSIMs can only be installed once, on a single device, and eSIMs should not be deleted even after your package expires (because you may want to top it up someday).
