Why don't all of my apps work?
If this is your first time using eSIM and you're noticing that not all of your apps work, it's possible there is a very simple fix.
While TikTok does not always work with eSIM, most other apps that require an internet connection work perfectly with eSIM.
Your device might think it's not allowed to use cellular data for the app, so it's going to wait until there's Wi-Fi available instead. However, you can tell your device which apps are allowed to use cellular data.
Here's how to choose which apps can use data:
1. On your iPhone, go to "Settings"
2. Select "Cellular" (or "Network")
3. Under "Cellular," scroll down until you see a list of apps that are allowed to use your eSIM for cellular data
4. Check off any items that you want to use data when Wi-Fi isn't available
If you're trying to use as little data as possible, it's a good idea to toggle off apps you don't want to be using data in the background.
