How do I install eSIM on my laptop?
Ready to install your new aloSIM eSIM on any compatible laptop? Great!
Having eSIM on your laptop means you can stay connected without needing a physical SIM card or worrying about finding a nearby Wi-Fi connection.
Windows eSIM installation:
- Open the “Start” menu
- Go to "Settings" then "Network & Internet"
- Select "Cellular” and “Manage eSIM profiles”
- Choose "Add a new profile"
- Select "Let me enter an activation code"
- Scan your QR code and select "Continue" to add the eSIM profile, OR manually enter your eSIM details (SM-DP address and Activation Code)
- If required, make sure your eSIM's name is "aloSIM" and its APN is also "alosim"
Windows eSIM activation:
Remember, you must be located in your data package's country/region in order to connect to a network. (So don't try to activate a vacation data package if you're still at home, because you won't be able to reach those networks yet.)
- Open the “Start” menu
- Go to "Settings" then "Network & Internet"
- Select "Cellular” and “Manage eSIM profiles”
- Select the eSIM you’d like to start using, then “Use”
- Select “Yes” to confirm you’d like to start using data from this data plan
- You’ll be connected to a data network using your eSIM
