Most devices will allow you to store multiple eSIMs (often 5 to 10), but you can only use one eSIM at a time unless your device supports multiple eSIMs.

Currently, only several devices support multiple eSIMs. With certian phones, you can use Dual SIM with either two active eSIMs or a nano-SIM and an eSIM.
