What is an electronic SIM?
An electronic SIM (or eSIM) is simply a digital version of a physical SIM card. There is no physical component to an electronic SIM — it is built into the device. These built-in chips enable users to switch between mobile networks and even manage multiple phone numbers. Nowadays, most devices have an eSIM built directly into them.
An eSIM holds all the same information as a traditional SIM card, including phone number, network, and relevant carrier settings. Unlike traditional SIM cards however, eSIMs allow for added flexibility. You can switch between carriers or data plans anytime without the need for multiple SIM cards or an in-store visit.
