What is tethering on a phone?
Tethering on a phone means sharing your phone’s mobile data with another device (such as another phone, laptop, or tablet) so that it can also get online.
Essentially, tethering turns your phone into a WiFi hotspot, enabling other devices to connect to the internet through it via your phone’s data.
There are 3 main types of tethering: WiFi, USB, and Bluetooth. Tethering can be especially useful if you are in an area with no public WiFi but need access to data on multiple devices. Just note that tethering can drain your phone battery quickly. It can also consume more data than you might expect, so be mindful of video calls, streaming, or downloads while tethering.
