Is Huawei an Android?
New Huawei models are not considered to be Android phones. Huawei phones used to run on Android operating systems. However, due to U.S. restrictions, many newer Huawei models use HarmonyOS instead, which is Huawei’s own operating system.
That being said, HarmonyOS is still based on Android’s framework. This means that a Huawei phone will have a similar look and feel to an Android phone, but it will not have standard Google apps or access to the Play Store.
