What is Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS)?
Dual SIM Dual Standby, also known as DSDS, is a feature of smartphones that enables the use of two SIM profiles at any given time. This can be two physical SIM cards, two eSIMS, or a combination of both. With Dual SIM Dual Standby, both active profiles on the device can receive incoming calls and texts, though only one can be used for data or outgoing calls at a time.
With DSDS, your SIMs will be on standby and ready to receive calls or text messages. If you’re already using one line, the other will be temporarily unavailable until you are off the call.
Most modern smartphones support Dual SIM Dual Standby, including recent iPhone and Android models.
