How do I install eSIM on my Google Pixel?
Ready to install your new aloSIM eSIM on any eSIM-compatible Google Pixel device? Great! You can choose a QR Code installation or a manual installation.
QR CODE eSIM INSTALLATION (Google Pixel):
- Within your aloSIM account, tap on the eSIM you wish to install, select "Install your eSIM," and choose the "QR code" tab
- If you're currently on the device where you'll be using the eSIM, tap the blue "Share Code" button to share the QR code to another device, so you can copy it from there. (If you're currently on a computer, or a different device that will not be using the eSIM, you can just scan the code directly from your phone in a minute.
- On your Google Pixel, swipe down to go to "Settings" > "Network & Internet"
- Select the plus + next to "SIMs" or "Mobile network" and select "Don't have a SIM card?" or "Download a SIM instead"
(Depending on your Google Pixel model, you may need to select “Advanced Mobile Operators” and add a new operator.) - Scan your eSIM's QR code (located under the "QR code" tab of "Install Your eSIM" within your aloSIM account) and follow the on-screen prompts
- If you're prompted to choose a phone number, select the one associated with your primary SIM because eSIMs do not come with phone numbers
ACCESSING YOUR DATA:
Remember, you must be located in your data package's country/region in order to connect to a network. (So don't try to activate a vacation data package if you're still at home, because you won't be able to reach those networks yet.)
- Go to "Settings" > "Network & Internet" > "Mobile networks
- Select your new eSIM, and toggle "Use eSIM" on
- Scroll down to make sure "Mobile data" and "Roaming" are both toggled ON for your eSIM
- Go to "Settings" > "Network & Internet" > "Mobile networks" and select your Primary SIM (if you have one)
You can keep your Primary SIM on if you'd like (so you can continue to receive phone calls and texts), but make sure "Mobile data" and "Roaming" are both toggled OFF for Primary SIM to avoid roaming charges with your primary carrier - Check that your APN is correctly set to "alosim." You'll do this by going to "Settings" > "Network and Internet" > "Advanced" > "Access Point Names" and making sure the APN has "alosim" in the name field, as well as in the APN field.
If your APN isn't "aloSIM," select the three vertical dots in the top-right corner, create a new Google Pixel APN by tapping the three vertical dots in the top-right corner, selecting "New APN," typing "alosim" in the Name field and APN field, and saving your changes.
MANUAL eSIM INSTALLATION (Google Pixel):
- Within your aloSIM account, select "Install Your eSIM" and choose the "Manual" tab at the top, where you should tap the Copy button to copy your eSIM details (SM-DP address and Activation Code)
- On your Google Pixel, swipe down to go to "Settings" > "Network & Internet"
- Select the plus + next to "SIMs" or "Mobile network" and select "Don't have a SIM card?" or "Download a SIM instead"
(Depending on your Google Pixel model, you may need to select “Advanced Mobile Operators” and add a new operator.) - Select “Use Activation Code” and paste in your eSIM details (SM-DP address and Activation Code) provided in your aloSIM account (located under the "QR code" tab of "Install Your eSIM")
- Confirm the eSIM installation, and if you're prompted to choose a phone number, select the one associated with your primary SIM because eSIMs do not come with phone numbers

Remember that eSIMs can only be installed once, on a single device, and eSIMs should not be deleted even after your package expires (because you may want to top it up someday).
