How do I set the APN on my Google Pixel?
Once you've finished your Google Pixel eSIM installation and you're ready to use your new data package, it's a good idea to check your APN setting to make sure you can connect properly.
On your Google Pixel, to go "Settings," then "Network & internet"
Depending on your Google Pixel model, you may need to look under "SIMs," select your eSIM, and scroll down to tap "Access Point Names," or might need to select "Advanced" and then "Access Point Names."
Your selected APN should have "alosim" in the Name field, and "alosim" in the APN field.
But sometimes, a Google Pixel's selected APN is set to something else, like this ...
If your APN isn't "alosim," tap the selected APN and confirm you want to edit it.
- Tap the "Name" field and type in alosim (then tap "OK")
- Tap the "APN" field and type in alosim (then tap "OK")
Then it's time to save your APN changes so they don't disappear.
- Tap the three dots in the top corner
- Tap "Save"
Now your APN should look like this ...
If you aren't able to edit your selected APN so it reads "alosim" (or you don't have an APN appearing), you can try adding a new APN:
- Tap the three vertical dots in the top-right corner
- Select "New APN"
- Tap the "Name" field and type in alosim (then tap "OK")
- Tap the "APN" field and type in alosim (then tap "OK")
- Save your changes
