We recommend keeping your eSIM's Network Selection set to "Automatic," because otherwise you might attempt to connect to an unsupported network and your data won't work.

However, there are certain situations during the troubleshooting process where the aloSIM Support team may require you to manually connect to a specific supported network.

The following steps should only be followed if you were not successful with an automatic network selection AND a member of the aloSIM Support team has suggested you try a manual connection.

How to manually connect to a network on iOS devices:

• Go to "Settings"
• Select "Cellular"
• Under "Cellular Plans," select your aloSIM plan
• Choose "Network Selection"
• Your screen might show "aloSIM" as the network, or it may show the name of a specific network
• Turn "Automatic" off and your screen will refresh with multiple network options (Remember, your eSIM does NOT necessarily support all of these networks!)
• Select the specific network that your aloSIM Support agent has provided (Each aloSIM data package typically works on 1-3 supported networks in a country, but not all of them)
• Now your device should connect to that specific network

How to manually connect to a network on Samsung devices:

• Go to "Settings"
• Select "Connections" 
• Choose "Mobile Network"
• Select "Mobile Operators"
• Uncheck "Select Automatically" by choosing the specific network that your aloSIM Support agent has provided (Each aloSIM data package typically works on 1-3 supported networks in a country, but not all of them)
• Now your device should connect to that specific network

How to manually connect to a network on Google devices:

• Go to "Settings"
• Select "Network & Internet"
• Choose "Mobile network"
• Scroll down to "Network"
• Toggle off "Automatically Select Network"
• Under "Choose Network," your screen might show "aloSIM" as the network, or it may show the name of a specific network
• Select the specific network that your aloSIM Support agent has provided (Each aloSIM data package typically works on 1-3 supported networks in a country, but not all of them)
• Now your device should connect to that specific network
