How do I set the APN on my iPhone or iPad?
If your iPhone or iPad is running the latest iOS, your APN should automatically be updated to "alosim" behind the scenes. No need to do anything!
But if you're running an older iOS or have installed an affected eSIM, you might need to manually set your APN to "alosim" in order for your data to work.
(APN stands for Access Point Name, and it's just a behind-the-scenes internet setting on a mobile device.)
Once you've installed your new eSIM data plan on your iPhone or iPad, this is a final step that ensures your data is going to work correctly.
1. Open "Settings"
2. Tap "Cellular" or "Cellular Data" (depending on your iOS, you may also need to select "Mobile Data" or "Cellular Data Network")
3. Make sure the APN is set to "alosim" under "Cellular Data" and "LTE Setup"
If your APN is already set to "alosim," that's fantastic. If your APN wasn't set to "alosim" before, now it's set properly. Nice work!
