What's the difference between eSIM data and a cell plan?
A cell plan comes with a calling/texting on a private phone number, and it might also include mobile data.
A prepaid eSIM data package comes with data only, but no phone number.
aloSIM's data packages are great for adding data to an eSIM-compatible device, which allows you to stay connected in all sorts of ways:
- Social media
- Wi-Fi calling
- Video calling
- Internet browsing
- Maps/driving directions
- Online gaming
- Streaming videos & music
Even though a data-only eSIM doesn't come with its own phone number, there are still ways to make/receive phone calls with a data-only eSIM, and send/receive texts with a data-only eSIM.
