How do I install eSIM on my iPhone or iPad?
When you're ready to install your new eSIM on any compatible iPhone or iPad, you'll have a few choices:
Installation takes about 90 seconds. Make sure you have a strong Wi-Fi or data connection.
Option 1: Automatic eSIM installation
You can do this days or weeks ahead of travel. Your data won't start working until you arrive at your destination.
1. In your aloSIM app, go to ‘My eSIMs' and select the eSIM you want to install.
2. Tap 'Install eSIM' (blue button at the bottom ).
3. Tap 'Install' again to begin the automatic installation.
4. Follow the on-screen prompts.
Questions you might be asked during installation ...
- Cellular Data source: Select aloSIM if you're ready to travel.
- Default Line: Always choose your primary SIM.
- Type of plan: Select 'Data Only.'
- Where you'll use the eSIM: Select 'Abroad' because this is a travel eSIM.
